OUR MISSION
Chabad of Norman is dedicated to enriching Jewish life in Norman. We are committed to providing for the material and spiritual needs of every Jew in Norman, on campus, and in the community. We aim to promote Jewish pride and celebration and to establish a warm and comfortable environment where everyone is welcome.
PHILOSOPHY
We are founded on the principle that while Jews may embrace varying levels of observance and hold differing political beliefs, there should be a place for all—regardless of background, knowledge, or political and religious affiliation—to develop a sense of community and enrich their Jewish experience.
FUNDING
Chabad of Norman is an independent non-profit organization funded exclusively by generous friends and donors.
MOVEMENT
Chabad is an international Jewish organization with centers in all fifty states and one hundred and ten countries worldwide. Chabad of Norman is an affiliate of the Chabad Jewish Center of Greater Oklahoma City, directed by Rabbi Ovadia & Nechoma Goldman.
INSPIRATION
Chabad of Norman is guided and inspired by the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of blessed memory, who transformed Chabad into a global Jewish force and whose leadership, vision, and love are a beacon of light for all humanity.
